With 16 starters returning (nine on offense and seven on defense), coach Johnson's Eagles should have an improved season in 2008. Their strength will be their offensive line, which averages 292 lbs per man and has 2 RBs that rushed for over 1000 yards each returning. The Defensive line, however, will be a weakness, as 2 DLs and both linebackers need to be replaced. "We will finally have a full staff of 6 experienced coaches," said Johnson. "Our new track facilities will be ready this fall...We found adequate replacements for our few personnel losses. We will be faster, stronger and much better than last year."
